The 2nd Guangzhou Triennial will be launched this Friday, as part of the programme, Scanner (Robin Rimbaud) will reach Guangzhou tomorrow, check out his schedule on British Council China’s related page here.
It’s a shame that a was-to-be performance (also as part of the Triennial programme) by 3 sound artists: Justin ZHONG Minjie（钟æ•?æ?°ï¼‰, Zafka (ZHANG Anding å¼ å®‰å®š, listen to some of his music here) & LIN Zhiying（林志英）ended up cancelled, due to the lack of appropriate venue. The only decent venue (and the best in the whole China) for experimental concert in Guangzhou – Theatre of Guangdong Modern Dance Company – will not be available on the scheduled date of the concert. However, the 3 artists has been planning a very special performance for a long time, and will probably take it into action in December. Stay tuned at GNO for update!
